Q: Why recycled granite?
Forever Stone only uses top quality reclaimed granite, which otherwise would end up in a landfill. This granite is strong, durable, yet beautiful. We’re proud to have saved more than 2 million lbs of granite, helping to make our mark on the environment.
Q: Do you have to use the base kit with the fire pit?
A: No. It helps to level the ground if you’re building it on uneven terrain. It also creates a sort of patio for your fire pit if that’s a look that you’d like to have.
A: We sell a high heat silicone adhesive that you can use to adhere the pieces together. It’s a small nickel sized drop on two places on each piece, then placing the next layer’s piece on top. The stone is very heavy, so if you don’t have to use the adhesive at all if you’re not worried about small children leaning on it or moving the stones.
A: Yes. It is the same basic process for installation as other pavers. We have an installation guide available to help you plan it out.
A: For outside installation you put the polished side down and the rough side facing up. They are no more slippery than any other stone paver. For inside installation, where they are less likely to be wet, you install them with the polished side facing up.
A: We offer a random blend, creating a beautiful mosaic of colors, at our standard price. We have the option for a dark blend or light blend in our pavers for slightly more per sq ft. For our fire pits, you can choose your matching top layer pieces in the standard pricing. For an all dark or all light fire pit we charge an additional 20% separation fee.
A: Individual pieces (this makes installation a lot more labor intensive and definitely turns some customers away).
A: No. We don’t use quartzite or marble in our fire pits for this reason. Granite can absolutely stand up to the heat.
A: We can do some very limited deliveries. We don’t deliver more than 2 hours away, and we can’t deliver large quantities of stone. Typically we have to ship, but we can often get relatively reasonable rates.
If you’re in the Maryland or Virginia area, we have a local rep who can work with you as well. You can contact Chris at email@example.com or 410-245-6231.
A: No, but we have reliable installers that we can recommend.
